At PathPoint, the client is at the heart of all that we do.

PathPoint is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports people in living the life they choose. We partner with people with disabilities, people with mental health diagnoses, and young adults to pursue their hopes and dreams through strengthening workplace abilities, building life skills, and developing meaningful relationships. Founded in Santa Barbara, CA in 1964, PathPoint annually partners with nearly 2,300 people across five counties in Southern and Central California: Santa Barbara, Ventura, San Luis Obispo, Los Angeles, and Kern.

The Counseling Center

PathPoint’s Counseling Center is part of our organization’s Behavioral Health Services and offers outpatient care for members of the community seeking professional support with their mental health. Founded in 2015, the Counseling Center serves clients with a wide range of backgrounds, diagnoses, demographics, and lived experiences. Clients have the option of visiting our physical office space in downtown Santa Barbara for in-person sessions or connecting via our secure telehealth platform for virtual sessions.

Behavioral Health Services

Founded in Santa Barbara in 1980, PathPoint’s Behavioral Health Services annually support nearly 400 community members with mental health diagnoses in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. We offer a wide continuum of care, ranging from a mobile team of support professionals, to permanent supportive housing, residential treatment facilities, an outpatient counseling center, and more. Across all service areas, PathPoint has a proven track record of supported recovery, crisis prevention and stabilization, homelessness prevention, and reduction in higher-cost emergency care.
